For the eighth year in a row, Decibel Festival in Seattle, challenged all of the typical translations of the city being grunge/rock n’ roll. The nature of electronic dance music showcased everything from: techno, house, drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep, downtempo and more. You would think that in the last 40 years we would have been able to use that same ambition, that same brave new world shit to find a way to end poverty and war. So many people from around the world looked to the US as a beacon of hope for the entire planet. We landed on the moon… but only a few of us got to walk there.
