Nosaj Thing’s new split 7-inch is out!

“The LA Collection represents arguably their most ambitious project yet… Released today, the second installment is a 7″ split from Rainbow Arabia and Nosaj Thing. Predictably, the latter steals the spotlight, continuing his reign with a woozy, stoned and deceptively melodic song called “Night Crawler.” Indeed, the tune lives up to its title, conjuring a nocturnal and narcotic slink through an imaginary world full of shadows and sharp knives. Consider it blunted beat noir.”

Dazed & Confused Trips with Gaslamp Killer and Gonjasufi

“I hit the road with psyche hop wizard Gonjasufi, travelling from LA to his home in Las Vegas. Along the way we hooked up with his long-term producer and global purveyor of cosmic bass, The Gaslamp Killer for an afternoon of machetes, possum hats, hash cookies and heady vibes.”

Flying Lotus has had a remarkable year, and an even more amazing decade. His 2008 debut album Los Angeles has definitely helped put LA’s beat head community on the map, but the guy has literally layed waste to hip-hop, electronic and alternative beat genres across the spectrum for 10 years. Gaslamp Killer gives his props, lacing together tidbits of the known and unknown FlyLo lexicon to great effect. Download it here.

Catch FlyLo and Daedelus this Saturday, December 26th live in downtown LA.

“Two months ago, a video of Nosaj Thing’s visual collaboration with Julia Tsao and Adam Guzman tore across the internet blowing minds everywhere. (I watched it a few times a day at one point). After seeing it, Kenny Mac at Red Bull knew he had to act on an idea for a visual show that had been cooking in his brain for a while. Soon after - Red Bull Megahurtz was born.” — David Lang
